Wednesday 26 September 2018
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ has been ranked the number one UK conservatoire for music in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019.
The league table ranks UK Higher Education institutions by nine quality measures important to students: teaching quality, student experience, research quality, entry standards, graduate prospects, good honours, completion rate, student-staff ratio and services and facilities spend. The RCM is particularly successful in the graduate prospects category, scoring 92.6%.
The news follows a series of excellent results including data recently published by showing graduates from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ to be among the most employable in the UK. Of the 2016/17 RCM graduates who responded to the survey, 100% had moved into employment or further study six months after graduating. The RCM is also ranked the top conservatoire for Performing Arts in the UK and Europe by the 2018 QS World University Rankings.
RCM Director Professor Colin Lawson CBE commented: ‘It is wonderful to see the Â鶹ÊÓƵ score so highly in this year’s Good University Guide. The RCM is committed to providing the best musical training for talented young musicians from across the globe. I am delighted that our world-renowned professors, industry-leading careers service and commitment to improving our facilities are reflected in this result.’
