RCM becomes first European conservatoire to extend digital provision with Henle Library

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ is the first conservatoire in Europe to extend its digital resource offering in partnership with the .
RCM students and professors now have full access to the Henle Library tablet app, which offers both Apple and Android users the ability to download, annotate and customise scores. Made to support both practice and performance, features of the app include recording and playback, metronome, rapid page turning and navigation, playlists and a helpful ‘performance mode’.
The Henle Library app is used by 30,000 musicians around the world. The Â鶹ÊÓƵ is the first conservatoire in Europe to partner with Henle Library, with the provision integrated into the suite of online resources available to students and professors via the RCM Library.
Peter Linnitt, RCM Librarian, comments: ‘I am proud thÂ鶹ÊÓƵ continues to be at the forefront of the conservatoire sector in seeking partnerships with valuable online resources such as the Henle Library app.’
In 2020, the RCM became the first institution in the world to partner with ‘the Spotify of sheet music’, nkoda, giving students access to thousands of scores. RCM students also enjoy access to a large volume of ebooks, journals and dictionaries via the RCM Library, as well as recordings by Naxos Music Library, MetOnline and the Berlin Philharmonic Digital Concert Hall.
